Apothecary 87 Beard Balm

Apothecary 87 was nice and sent this Balm with the other products for me to review. As usual, I used this balm for a month. actually over a month, However, I also used it at the same time as Apothecary 87s beard oil but I never used them in the same day or at the same time.

Apothecary 87 sends just about all their products in a cardboard box with photographs on the sides, on the back is where you will find the instructions and ingredients list. The balm comes in an aluminum 3.38 FL OZ squeeze container. The lid is plastic and in an octagon witch is different but also provides a nice grip.

The scent of this is caller Muskego. It’s named after a town in Canada. the scent was a collaboration with one of there ambassadors Josh Mario John.  He made this to smell like Muskoga after spending time there. The scent is of maple sap with smoke undertones.  This is a strong sweet scent that dissipates within a few hours.

My Experience:

My overall experience with this balm in a tube was a good one. I Liked how this seamed to stiffen the hair. The stiffness was not to stiff to where it would be poking my neck but enough so that it stays right where it should even in light wind. I found that the scent is a bit stronger when applying it then I would like. I did find that it tones down fairly quickly however and it lasted about half a day.   The only issue that I ran into was that I had a couple of times that I had itching under my jaw, I’m not sure if it was coincidence or if I may have applied too much to a thinner part of my goatee.  Either way, this is probably not something you will have an issue with if it is try using a little less and you will be good. Other then that I also liked how easy it was to apply and how it only takes a little bit to cover a decent-sized area.

I believe in the video review I said I thought this price was a bit high, what I forgot to take into account when I said that what that you’re getting almost 2.5% more with this than a regular standard 1OZ balm. after taking that into consideration I think its a fairly priced product. If you order it from there site you would be saving about $5USD after shipping cost then form the link provided below, that is if you have prime or make a large enough order form amazon to get the free shipping.
