Mr. Bear Family sent me a box with Beard balm and beard oil in it all the way from Sweden. This Post is a review of the Woodland scent beard balm. Click HERE for the beard oil review.
This beard balm comes in a standard 2oz tin container with a screw off lid. The container has a logo sticker on the front and an ingredients sticker on the back.
The ingredients are a bit hard to understand so I had to a Google search to find out what they were because they used the scientific names.
Shea Butter, Beeswax, Lanolin, apricot oil, Jojoba oil, coconut oil, argan oil, rosehip oil, lemon oil, limonene oil, rosemary oil, lavender oil, bergamot oil, rosewood oil, linalool oil, Citral, Santalum album oil, vitamin E and Sunflower seed oil.
With all those oils you may assume it’s going to be a very oily balm and probably a light hold however I found it to be a medium hold balm and it doesn’t seem much oiler then other balms I have used in the past.
The scent is mostly natural beeswax, however, there is a hint of woodland mixed in with it. I think this scent is nice as it is not overpowering and the added scent is just enough to tone down the beeswax natural scent without being overwhelming.
This Beard balm is easy to remove from its tin with just a few minutes in your pocket or hands. It has a smooth texture and also emulsifies quickly when warming in between your fingers, because of this it spreads nicely and evenly on your beard and the skin underneath
The price does come in at the higher end of beard balm products coming in at around $20 USD on Amazon (link below) I’m chalking the higher price up to the shipping and I’m sure they have a higher cost to get the products to make it as well. I do think its worth the higher price though as it is a very effective beard Balm.
Unfortunately at the time of this review, there was only one scent available on Amazon but I’m sure you will be happy with it as there Citrus is a very nice scent.
