Mr. Bear Family sent me a box with Beard balm and beard oil in it all the way from Sweden. This Post is a review of the CItrus scented beard oil. Click HERE for the beard balm review.
This was the first Beard oil that I have received that came in its own protective container. Although its just cardboard with plastic caps it’s not some toilet paper tube but instead nice strong cardboard. The logo and ingredients are not just slapped on the tube with a sticker but instead are Printed right onto the tube. Although many may look past this simple addition I can not, as it says a lot about the company and how they take pride in what they do and want to make sure that the product gets to you safely.
The oil is in a one-ounce brown tinted glass container with an eyedropper style screw off lid. the end of the eyedropper has a bulb. this bulb is bent off to one side I’m not sure if this is how its meant to be or if it happened during manufacturing however I didn’t find that it hindered the application of the oil at all. the squeezable bulb on top is a little on the small side and just big enough to fill the tube a little less than halfway with each squeeze. This was not an issue for me as I just have a goatee and it applied enough oil for me, for someone with a larger or full beard though they may need to double dip the eye dropper to have enough to cover a large beard.
this beard oil was sent to me in the scent of Citrus by request. I like the citrus scent because it’s one of the few classical strong scents I can stand without getting a migraine from it. I also wanted to see if a scent like this was strong when its supposed to be as the other products from Mr.Bear family have very little scent to them. They did not disappoint! this is a nice strong Citrus as it should be. The scent reminded me of warm weather and being as how its winter here and in negative temps it was a good reminder that this won’t last forever and will soon be spring again. although the effects of this beard oil last all day the scent dissipated within an hour of application to my goatee.
like the beard balm, Mr.Bear family uses the scientific names for there ingredients instead of the layman ones so below I have included the scientific ones as well as the layman names for them.
Prunus armeniaca kernel oil, Prunus amygdalus dulcis oil, Simmondsia chinensis seed oil, Argania spinosa kernel oil, Limonene, Citrus limon peel oil, Rosa canina fruit oil, Citrus aurantium bergamia fruit oil, Citrus grandisi peel oil, Aniba rosaeodora wood oil, Linalool, Citral, Geraniol, Tocopherol, Helianthus annuus seed oil
Apricot Kernel oil, Sweet almond oil, Jojoba seed oil, Argan oil, Limonene,
Citrus lemon peel oil, Dog rose fruit oil, Bergamot oil, Grapefruit peel oil, Aniba rosodora wood oil,
Citral, Geraniol, Vitamin e, Sunflower seed oil
like the other products from Mr. Bear Family, this comes in at a little higher than the other brands. However, like those other products of theirs, I’d have to say that this too is worth the $20 USD that I was able to find this for. unfortunately, not all of there scents are available on Amazon so I have included the ones I could find at the time of writing this.
